Live Event - February 17, 2010; 8:00 - 5:00 PM

Event Description:

HUD is offering a series of locally-based Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Problem Solving Clinics on implementing the NSP program. The clinics are targeted to the needs of individual housing markets and thus are open to grantees and their nonprofit, developer and financial institution/ lender partners from each local market area.

The NSP Problem Solving Clinic provides grantee, non-profit staff, and other stakeholders access to technical experts and HUD staff that can field program design and implementation questions, provide clarifications on regulations, and suggest alternative approaches to address hurdles and roadblocks. You can select up to five one-on-one sessions at the Clinic with NSP TA experts and HUD staff on topics such as:

  • NSP Eligible Activities and Costs,
  • Acquisition/disposition of REO properties, including working with lenders;
  • Construction management/inspections, including rehabilitation standards and programs.

Three workshops will be offered based on the choices by the attendees at registration. Attendees may attend a workshop when they are not at a scheduled appointment. These workshops provide specific information on topics such as DRGR and Land Banks.
