Supportive Housing Symposium

The Detroit and Michigan LISC Offices, along with the National Equity Fund, CEDAM, CDAD, and MSHDA invites you to a forum on supportive housing. Representatives from MSHDA, the City of Detroit, HUD and community organizations will join with senior managers from LISC and NEF to present the most current information on financing supportive housing projects and examples of how developers have incorporated a strong set of social services into deals.
Topics will include:
- The proposed 2008-2009 QAP and resources available from MSHDA
- City of Detroit's new RFP for supportive housing and the use of HOME and CDBG
- Changes in the tax credit market and what they mean for projects in Michigan
- What are tax credit syndicators looking for and how to partner with them
- Sources of debt for predevelopment, construction and permanent financing needs
- Matching development with services: case studies presented by developers and social service providers
Remarks will be offered by City of Detroit Deputy Mayor Anthony Adams.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be available.
