Program Background
Partnership for the Bay’s Future is one of the nation’s largest-ever private-sector housing funds with the goal of investing at least $500 million by the end of 2025 to produce, preserve, and protect affordable homes in the Bay Area. That translates to protecting the homes of up to 175,000 Bay Area households and preserving and producing 8,000 homes in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.
Through its role of managing and originating program loans, LISC Bay Area bridges funding gaps enabling nonprofit housing developers, mission-aligned for-profit developers, and partnered service providers to create affordable rental units. LISC Bay Area originates program loans and administers and manages the programs family of funds, which include the Bay’s Future Fund and the Community Housing Fund.
