Jobs Partnership becomes pilot FOC in Peoria

Beginning with a planning grant in October 2019, Jobs Partnership Peoria became the city's newest Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) pilot site as of August 2020. Jobs Partnership's mission is to provide employment training, financial mentoring and support services to all people who are unemployed, underemployed, or retraining after a change in career, including those that are transitioning out of incarceration into productive citizenship. With a focus on serving incarcerated and existing individuals, their curriculum includes family restoration, conflict resolution, time and money stewardship, job skills, behaviorial issues, educational needs, moral reconation therapy, and even solar development training. Given their mission and population focus, LISC Central Illinois felt that Jobs Partnership would be a great partner to offer the bundled services provided through our FOC model.

In addition to their current work done with incarcerated and re-entering individuals, Jobs Partnership will eventually also offer there services in-person at the Peoria Public School District's Wrap Around Center, located 1419 S. Folkers Avenue inside of Trewyn School.
