OSF's Robert L. Brandfass joins LISC Central Illinois' Local Advisory Committee

LISC Central Illinois and its Local Advisory Committee (LAC) want to welcome Robert L. Brandfass to the LAC beginning this month, October 2020. "We're pleased to welcome Robert to LISC Central Illinois' Advisory Committee," said Jason Clay, LAC chairman. "Robert brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be a great asset to our committee. Most importantly, Robert is passionate about the work LISC is doing in our communties and wants to see LISC successful in executing our mission throughout Central Illinois."

Robert serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer of OSF Healthcare, a 14 hospital, 23,000 employee Catholic healthcare system headquartered in Peoria, Illinois. He was previously the Executive Vice President & General Counsel at West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh (now known as Allegheny Health Network) and General Counsel for West Virginia  United Health System in West Virginia (now know as WVU Medicine). Prior to moving in-house, he was a partner in the West Virginia law firm of Kay, Casto & Chaney where he was a member of the law firm's Management Committee and Chair of its Health Care Practice Group. He earned his J.D. degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland and graduated with a major in Politics and Government from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin. Robert also currently serves as the Board Chair of the Heart of Illinois United Way, Board Chair of the Home For All Homelessness Continuum of Care and as a board member of Gift of Hope organ procurement organization.
