A New Landscape: Exploring Charter School Financing Opportunities
Wednesday August 19th from 1:00 - 2:30pm EST
Securing and financing a charter school facility has always been a major challenge for charter school operators. The process has only become more difficult as schools find themselves transitioning to remote learning, delaying construction projects, and trying to plan effectively for all of the uncertainties caused by the spread of COVID-19. As budgets are stretched thin but demand for school facility improvements continues, it will be important for schools to understand how to match their priorities with the facility financing options available for any necessary school repairs, expansions, or replications.
Over the course of our webinar, we will share the facilities development timeline, sources of capital needed, primary financing options, and key criteria to use when assessing which financing option is right for your charter school facility project. We will also be exploring the benefits and challenges of Opportunity Zone financing, the newest addition to the financing landscape, for charter school facility projects. Attendees will be able to ask their questions over the course of the webinar and will also have the option to schedule one-on-one time for additional guidance after the webinar. Registration required. Please share this webinar with your colleagues and the charter school leaders in your network.
After this webinar attendees will be able to:
- Understand the challenges and benefits of available facility financing options
- Get an in-depth overview of Opportunity Zones as a potential source of facility financing and understand how to assess whether this might be the right option for you
- Assess facility financing options compared to your school’s unique priorities
- Schedule time on August 20th for one-on-one guidance related to financing for your facility project
