STOP School Violence School-Based CVI Approaches - CPTED Strategies

While Community Violence Intervention (CVI) approaches often focus on persons closest to violence/victimization, schools administrators highlight that violence often occurs regularly in and around specific school campus locations. Place-based strategies, such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), can be an important tool for schools to access and prioritize locations to use CVI resources to improve school and student safety.
