LISC Houston is pleased to announce the cohort for our 2024 Training 4 Trainers (T4T) leadership program.
For the past fifteen years, LISC Houston has been involved in equipping local community leaders with the skills and expertise they need to effectively address the challenges faced in their neighborhoods as a part of our comprehensive commitment to community development. As technology has advanced, so have our programs, and we now offer a blend of in-person and online sessions to further meet the needs of our participants. Our approach integrates workshops, collaborative projects, and leadership trainings to provide solutions that fit a diverse range of needs and experiences. We leverage our understanding of navigating local government structures combined with teachings provided by local leaders and experts to ensure that our offerings are relevant and timely.
This commitment to developing local leaders reflects our commitment to Houston and its varied neighborhoods. Our mission is to work with residents and partners to forge resilient and inclusive communities of opportunity that are great places to live, work, do business, and raise families.
Since the launch of the Training 4 Trainers (T4T) program in 2016, over 200 Houston-area leaders have graduated from the program. T4T has always been distinguished by its focus on creating a ripple effect of knowledge and leadership throughout our communities. The goal of the program has always been to evolve with the needs of the community and to that end, T4T has been reimagined to reflect the changes that have occurred in our communities over the past eight years.
With a focus on facilitation, T4T aims to empower its participants with the skills needed to effectively mobilize, empower, and engage their communities to achieve success. Participants will also participate in a capstone project to benefit a local community. This capstone project brings together everything the participants have learned throughout the program with guidance from our expert consultants to ensure that they achieve success in their initiatives. The result is real-world experience for the participants of the T4T program combined with meeting a need of a community they care about!
LISC Houston is pleased to announce the cohort for our 2024 Training 4 Trainers (T4T) leadership program. The program is designed for both emerging and seasoned leaders who are passionate about creating strong, vibrant communities.
This year’s cohort represents a wide range of community development interests and Houston area neighborhoods. From affordable housing to education for children, seniors, and everyone in between, the energy and enthusiasm this group brings is sure to result in an impactful season of leadership development.
