Leadership Development
LISC’s Healthy Communities Leadership Development Series is a component of the GO Neighborhood initiative to strengthen neighborhood and city-wide leadership in the Greater Houston Area. The series provides health-focused leadership development trainings and workshops to neighborhood-based leaders in understanding the social determinants of health and their impact, while equipping leaders with tools and knowledge to take action in addressing health inequities in their communities. The series include four leadership development tracks: Leading Together Workshops, an annual Civic Academy forum, the Training for Trainers Program and the Ambassador Class. LISC Houston offers leadership development workshops for resident leaders, organizational representatives, and other community stakeholders. These trainings build important leadership capacity to transform communities.
