Building Bridges Award Quality Career Navigator Award

James Conway, a Program Manager for Keys2Work, was awarded the Quality Career Navigator award at the 2024 LISC Indianapolis Building Bridges Awards. In his role, James works with youths with current or recent justice involvement who typically have little to no job experience. He works to find each client’s talent and interest, then sets them on a career path in that field.

James takes pride in his role because he enjoys being an active participant in making people’s lives better, which fuels him to do his job to the best of his ability. A key factor to winning this award is his longevity in the field and his lived experiences that make him so hungry to excel to the best of his abilities.

“I am one of these people who is not happy unless I am doing something meaningful for my fellow human beings,” said Conway. “I think others see that and recognize that it is genuine.” To him, having this role as a profession is an award in itself, but winning this award means that his peers in the field know and acknowledge his actions are pure and sincere.
