We are excited to have Kelly Evans join the LISC Indianapolis team as Program Officer – Economic Development.
Kelly has worked in social services for 18 years serving in the areas of mental health, re-entry, housing, education and workforce development. Prior to LISC, Kelly served in numerous roles at LISC partner Edna Martin Christian Center as a Business and Community Navigator, Entrepreneurship Program Manager, and Youth Employment Services Manager, working with community-based organizations to build the Indianapolis entrepreneur ecosystem and educate small business owners. In addition, she served as a Grassroots Maternal and Child Health Leader at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, working to prevent maternal and infant death through education and advocacy to decrease Indiana’s infant and maternal death rates.
In her role as PO, Kelly will lead LISC Indianapolis’ Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and Capacity Building for Entrepreneurial Support and BDOs programs. In addition, she will assist with the Microenterprise Navigator Program.
Kelly is a certified ICF Executive Coach, business and financial coach. She is also an entrepreneur and started a coaching and consulting business in 2018 where she focused on coaching women entrepreneurs and consulting with non-profit agencies to build capacity. Kelly earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in sociology and communication and a master’s degree in management and leadership from Western Governors University.
In her free time, Kelly is a singer and artist and enjoys performing in local plays, making jewelry and creating mixed media art. Kelly has one daughter who shares her love for art and is a budding dancer, performing in local programs.
