LISC Indianapolis Welcomes Matt Rayburn to the Local Advisory Board

LISC Indianapolis is thrilled to announce the newest member of its Local Advisory Board, Matt Rayburn. With nearly two decades of experience in housing development and community programs, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to help advance LISC’s mission of fostering sustainable and vibrant communities across Indianapolis.

Matt’s commitment to community development stems from his 17-year tenure at the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, where he has worked extensively on housing development, rental assistance, and supportive housing initiatives. His deep understanding of these issues has shaped his passion for creating accessible, affordable housing opportunities for residents in need.

When asked what inspired him to join LISC's Local Advisory Board, Matt shared, “I’m passionate about the opportunity to work alongside LISC and its partners. The organization's track record in delivering technical assistance and financing solutions to affordable housing projects aligns perfectly with my career’s focus. I look forward to being part of this work that brings tangible change to communities.”

As a board member, Matt aims to support LISC in expanding its affordable housing initiatives and offering innovative solutions to the ever-growing housing challenges in Indianapolis. “With more communities recognizing the link between housing, healthcare, and quality of life, there is a tremendous opportunity to make meaningful strides,” he said. “I also see great potential in empowering emerging developers and nonprofits to inject fresh ideas and perspectives into the field.”

Looking ahead, Matt believes the future of community development will be shaped by a combination of increased collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and the engagement of new partners. With these tools, he is excited about the innovations that lie ahead for Indianapolis' neighborhoods.
