LISC Indianapolis and Incremental Development Alliance are hosting a Small-Scale Development Workshop, a comprehensive event focused on teaching participants the essentials of small-scale real estate development, with a special focus on project formation and neighborhood-based development. Attendees learn about evaluating project potential, understanding the financial dynamics of buildings, and navigating the professional ecosystem in the real estate development space.

• Business Models & Skill Sets: Defining project types, structure, and required skills and partnerships.
• Right-Sizing Projects: Aligning projects with zoning, financing tools, and building codes to manage costs and risks.
• Building Arts 101: Gaining fundamentals in architecture, urban design, and planning to create community value.
• Market Research & Site Selection: Analyzing locations to ensure property values align with development goals.
• Zoning Basics: Learning regulatory guidelines to shape project design.
• Project Pro formas: Using financial templates to understand project profitability.
• Hands-on Activities: Applying knowledge to real-world scenarios through site planning and financial exercises.
• Financing & Buying Property: Crafting financial pitches, securing loans, and mastering due diligence in property acquisition.
