What We Do


Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Indianapolis is the local office of a national financial intermediary that convenes and collaborates with neighborhood residents and organizations, government, philanthropy, and the private sector to revitalize Indianapolis’ urban communities and transform places to be better places to live, work, raise families and do business.

It is largely through various initiatives that LISC supports resident-led efforts and community partners by serving as a catalyst and backbone for these initiatives. LISC Indy provides capital, technical expertise, training, and information through collective impact initiatives to support the creation of affordable housing; commercial, industrial, and community facilities; businesses; and jobs. Our collective impact approach brings together a group of leaders across different sectors working towards a common agenda – to create a more economically and inclusively resilient city by addressing the social determinants of health.

Connecting the people and places of urban Indianapolis to real opportunity takes planning, partners and a whole lotta LOVE. LISC measures our impact by tracking investment and progress in each of the initiatives below using the following outcomes:
