Place-Based Community Development
LISC prioritizes investments to organizations and institutions that have created a collective vision for their neighborhood, as formalized in a Quality-of-Life Plan or Great Places, and are actively working toward that vision.
Priorities:
- Create, implement, and support quality-of-life plans
- Expand state, federal, and philanthropic investments in neighborhoods
- Strengthen partner organizations
- Cultivate operating support for community development sector
- Establish shared measurement to demonstrate neighborhood progress
- Align and integrate LISC initiatives
- Develop resident leadership
