Downtown Jacksonville
The Northbank is Jacksonville's traditional city center and what most people associate with Downtown and Jacksonville in general. It is the location of many government offices, including City Hall, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office headquarters, and the Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse, and amenities such as the Jacksonville Main Library, the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Landing, the Times Union Performing Arts Center and Jacksonville Riverwalk.
LISC Jacksonville helped provide financing for the renovation of the Haydon Burns Library into the Jessie Ball duPont Center, a downtown hub for nonprofit agencies in the community.
In addition, LISC Jacksonville provided support for the conversion of the long-vacant 20 West Adams Street building into student housing for Florida State College in Jacksonville, and played a critical role in the renovation of the historic Barnett Bank Building. Currently LISC is involved in the restoration of the long-vacant Laura Street Trio and the Ambassador Hotel.
