Thrive: Spotlight Care Beyond the Boulevard

We continue to navigate COVID-19 across the nation and in Kansas City. This week, LISC Greater Kansas City is acknowledging an essential organization that has stepped up to continue to provide services to the public. Care Beyond the Boulevard (CBB) is providing vital and quality health care at no cost to those in the Kansas City metro who are homeless, uninsured, or otherwise vulnerable. CBB was conceived and is lead by Jaynell “KK” Assmann, a nurse practitioner who saw a need to bridge the gap to providing quality medical care to those who needed it, regardless of financial or social situations.

CBB continues with their mission during COVID by utilizing PPE, following CDC guidelines, and using sidewalk chalk to help manage social distancing.
