Quality of Life Plans
NeighborhoodsNOW program concentrated resources in five communities in Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas where, beginning in 2006, residents worked together to complete visionary “Quality of Life Plans” for their neighborhoods. These plans served as the guiding document for neighborhood revitalization. In 2016, LISC worked with resident and neighborhood stakeholders to update their Quality of Life Plans, identify the neighborhood’s top three goals for the next three years, and identify the partners and stakeholders needed to accelerate implementation of these goals.
- Expand home repair program
- Increase youth and young family engagement
- Expand new commercial and residential development
- Expand physical development and housing
- Advance neighborhood engagement and communication efforts
- Increase organizational capacity
- A clean, safe and attractive Downtown KCK
- Foster small business growth
