Financial Opportunity Center Network

LISC Greater Kansas City has partnered with local foundations and financial institutions to bring to Kansas City a network of Financial Opportunity Center sites to help families and community members stabilize their long-term financial outlook. Based on a model developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, FOC sites provide individuals and families with services across three areas: employment placement and career improvement, financial education and coaching; and public benefits access. These core services are integrated to provide a multi-faceted approach to income and wealth building.

  • Increases individuals’ access to jobs and builds an economically resilient, financially literate and employable workforce.
  • Empowers people to take control over their financial future through coaching, financial literacy tools, career and job planning, and more.
In 30 days you corrected problems that I’ve struggled for 3 years to solve. In a true group effort, you came together and helped me change the things in my life that I was unable to change on my own.
— Brian, client of Prosperity Center
