Guadalupe Centers
Guadalupe Centers, Inc. is one of the country's premier Latino nonprofit organizations. Over the past 100 years, the Guadalupe Centers has remained rooted in its founding and has sought to bring forth the types of programs and services that directly tie to the needs and wants of the community it serves. The organization offers a full continuum of services and programming to the Kansas City metropolitan area through: Education, Workforce Development, Financial Coaching & Lending, Health & Human Services, Youth Development and Cultural Events.
The organization has developed a capacity and expertise for serving the low-income community with an emphasis on the Latino community in Kansas City. It has taken this experience to expand its programming in order to achieve more meaningful outcomes for the clients receiving assistance from GCI.
In partnership with LISC as a FOC, Guadalupe Centers is committed to providing families with a host of “wealth building” services.
- The FOC model focuses on community efforts to support low to moderate income families in growing their assets through various strategies, and working toward a positive economic future.
- This model is based on 3 core services that are bundled together and provided to families. These include: Employment Placement and Career Improvement, Financial Coaching, and Income Supports.
- Guadalupe Centers goal is to serve 100 individuals annually by assisting them in creating a vision of financial stability, develop financial goals, and provide support in attaining those goals.
Guadalupe Centers recognizes the value of empowering low-income families to take control of their financial futures and is excited to be a part of this impactful community effort in Kansas City.
