LISC AmeriCorps is now recruiting AmeriCorps members to serve for 11 months at partner sites in Flint. LISC AmeriCorps members serve in the vital roles of financial counseling and job placement; housing development and foreclosure prevention; and engaging local residents in volunteering to improve the safety, health and beauty of their neighborhoods. Members spearhead valuable projects; engage local residents; and gain an understanding of community development and the profound value of service.
While in service members receive a living stipend and upon completion an education award that can be used toward qualified loans or future schooling. Full-time members receive a $21,000 stipend and, upon completion of service, a $6,495 education award. Half-time members receive a $11,000 stipend, and upon completion of service, a $3,427.50 education award.

Makerspace Community Liaison with Red Ink Flint – The Makerspace Community Liaison will assist with the delivery of programs at Factory Two, the portal to all the other workshops, classes, open shop nights, and community programs where resources are shared.
