New York Land Opportunity Program Workshops
As a part of the original New York Land Opportunity Program, LISC NY offered eight technical assistance workshops in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Manhattan, reaching approximately 400 participants.
In the first round of NYLOP, these workshops covered: (1) what it takes to develop affordable housing through a joint venture partnership; (2) case studies of successful joint venture partnerships to develop affordable housing; 3) resources for development and long-term stewardship of affordable housing; and (4) an overview of LISC NY’s NYLOP technical assistance program.
In the second round of NYLOP, LISC NY’s workshops helped the owners of HUD 202 PRAC properties to navigate HUD’s guidance for RAD for PRAC conversions. Topics included: an overview of RAD for PRAC, the role of government agencies, and preparing for a successful conversion.
