LISC’s capacity-building partnerships provide additional support so partners can enhance their work. Our economic development team collaborates with municipalities and government partners, regional and hyperlocal organizations, and small businesses to build up healthy local networks and support systems.

We present findings from across the country and those from expert sources in webinars, cohort-based workshops, and digitally accessible curriculums, playbooks, and more. We connect local players to expert assistance to make greater progress and more effective community support possible.

Strength through Organizational Health
Community partners are crucial to an area’s sustainable economic health—but they need a strong fiscal and administrative foundation to succeed. LISC offers a range of services to help them build their organizational health, including board training, strategic planning support, asset and financial management training, preparation for federal grant opportunities, and more.
Technical Assistance
We offer training and access to expert resources that boost organizations’ capacity and help them accomplish priority projects. With help from our national and local staff, technical assistance programs like the Broadband Planning Help Hub or the SBA’s Community Navigator Pilot Program work with communities and local organizations to prepare for new initiatives and investment.
Local Collaboration
No one group can create sustainable change alone. We convene local stakeholders and build their capacity so they can increase their cooperation and sustainable impact. By connecting potential partners we help to cultivate a robust local economic support system that communities can rely on.
