Kiva

LISC and Kiva are partnering together to expand financial opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs across the United States. Through Kiva, an online loan crowdfunding platform, start-up and established businesses can access 0% interest loans up to $15,000. LISC helps to promote entrepreneurs and small business owners so they can reach their crowdfunded loan goals on Kiva’s platform. The proceeds can be used for working capital, equipment and inventory.

Cana's Story: Fayette, MO

A Kiva loan in small town Central Missouri helped Cana, a woman with entrepreneurial spirit and strong family values grow her business to a full retail store that supports other female-owned small businesses. Learn more about Cana's loan here.

Angel's Story: Humacao, PR

A Kiva loan in Humacao on the island of Puerto Rico helped Angel, a farmer and cultivator grow his business to develop an indoor cultivating facility that is used as an educational tourism program.
