Join us in congratulating Rural LISC’s Digital Equity Fellow Elizabeth (Liz) Lima, recipient of the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society’s Opportunity Fund Fellowship! The Opportunity Fund aims to advance fast, fair, and open broadband for everyone in the United States, by supporting a new generation of broadband scholars, practitioners, and advocates. The Fund supports a range of projects that can better inform our current and emerging broadband policy debates, either through critical research or the development of best practices and tools.
Working closely with select Rural LISC partners and their support teams, Liz will work on a two-year project to create the “Digital Economic Health Index”, which seeks to measure if digital inclusion interventions affect individual financial health. Liz will be supported in her research by John Horrigan, national expert on technology adoption, digital inclusion, and evaluating the outcomes and impacts of programs designed to promote communications technology adoption and use.
Congratulations, Liz!
