Capacity Building
We invest in building financial stability and foundational employment skills through several capacity building initiatives, including our long-running and data-driven Financial Opportunity Centers and Bridges to Career Opportunities, comprehensive Housing Development Training Institute (HDTI) program, AmeriCorps leadership program, and various capacity building opportunities for our local partners working in community development corporations (CDCs).
We provide an AmeriCorps member to about 12 community development organizations across the county - offering training, stipends, benefits, and an education award to members during their term of service.
Over 450 people representing 100 community development organizations throughout California are HDTI graduates
We provide HUD Section 4 grant funding to community-based organzations to build their capacity to implement economic development programs and projects.
