Disclosure of Information
In general, we will not disclose your personally identifiable information except with your consent or as described in this Policy. We may disclose information for the same reasons that we may use it as described in this Policy, which includes disclosing it to our affiliates and non-affiliated third parties as we deem necessary to carry out those purposes. This may include disclosing it to vendors who help us with marketing activities, event planning and administration, IT services, cloud storage, customer relationship management, communications, research and analytics, grant writing and requests, or collecting and processing donations. We endeavor to choose affiliates and non-affiliates with similar standards to ours regarding the protection of data.
We use third-party services to process your online donation or event ticket purchases, but we do not store the credit card information you provide in any LISC-owned servers. To the extent any donations are collected or processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used by that third-party service provider for purposes necessary to collect and process the donation.
We may also disclose your information to third parties as necessary to protect our interests and legal rights, such as through responding to subpoenas and defending litigation; to comply with state fundraising regulations; or to protect against and prevent fraud or illegal activity (such as identifying and responding to incidents of hacking or misuse of our website).
In certain cases, we may recognize a donor by publishing their name in our annual report, newsletters, websites, social media or in other public-facing areas.
When applying for grants, we may be required to list our top donors across LISC, which are typically foundations and corporations.
IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE LISTED IN PUBLIC-FACING DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OUR ANNUAL REPORT, PLEASE NOTIFY US WHEN MAKING YOUR CONTRIBUTION OR EMAIL YOUR REQUEST TO DEVELOPMENT@LISC.ORG. OUR THIRD PARTY ONLINE DONATION PROCESSORS ALSO GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR GIFT AND WE WILL HONOR THAT REQUEST. PLEASE NOTE THAT GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE NOT CONSIDERED PUBLIC-FACING DOCUMENTS.
WE DO NOT SELL, RENT OR TRADE OUR DONORS’ NAMES OR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION OR SEND MAILING TO OUR DONORS ON BEHALF OF OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
