Who we are
People who work at LISC are passionate about what they do. We believe in community action, local solutions and being an integral part of the change we hope to make in the places where we live and serve. More than 350 people work for LISC and our affiliates, the National Equity Fund and the New Markets Support Company; and we are located in cities and rural communities around the nation. We come from a broad spectrum of personal and professional backgrounds, including finance, program development, social work, engineering, legal, research and others.

Our dedication to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice
At LISC, we work every day to realize our commitment to racial equity in our communities and society, and to become a more antiracist organization. We embrace and uplift equity, diversity and inclusion across all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, abilities and geographies. We are committed to creating and supporting spaces and resources—both internally and externally—to help ensure that each person can thrive in their own identities, circumstances and histories, with the goal of upending disparities so we can all prosper and live with dignity.
A key part of this effort is LISC’s internal network of affinity groups—spaces for employees with shared backgrounds, identities and values to come together to talk, study, nurture solidarity and create solutions for the more equitable, just and dynamic environments we all want and deserve to work and live in.
