LISC is teaming up with Lowe’s to help small businesses in Western North Carolina recover from the impacts of Hurricane Helene. We will make $20,000 grants to 100 small businesses to address urgent needs and jumpstart recovery. Small businesses in disaster-declared communities may apply for grants from Nov. 18 to Nov. 22.

The Initiative Seeks to Equip Developers with Skills for Successful Capital Ventures in the City of Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation announced $17 million in new investments to nurture the Queen City’s growth. This includes $8.75 million for LISC Charlotte, an investment that will help launch a cooperative grocery store and offer flexible capital solutions to small businesses in the Historic West End.
