Helping Neighbors Build Communities
Since coming to Connecticut in 1984, LISC has invested more than $94 million in grants and loans. LISC works in cities including Bridgeport, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, and Waterbury, helping local organizations develop affordable housing and create partnerships that strengthen neighborhoods by enhancing resident quality of life, expanding economic opportunity, and closing racial wealth, health, and opportunity gaps.

December 2024 E-Newsletter
2024 has been a year of both challenge and achievement for LISC Connecticut. Amid a tumultuous landscape and growing concerns about what lies ahead at the federal level in 2025, we remained steadfast in our mission. This year marked LISC’s 40th Anniversary in Connecticut, which we celebrated in September with 270 of our partners and supporters—a testament to the strength and dedication of our community. Despite the uncertainties, we accomplished a great deal in 2024, with new initiatives complementing our core programs and an expanding team bringing fresh energy to our work. The reflections that follow highlight the progress we’ve made together and the impact we continue to have on the communities we serve.
