The grant from the Patriots, the NFL Foundation, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is part of $3 million in field refurbishment awards allocated this year. The field will serve about 5,000 youth, including the Fitchburg High School football team.

Brooke Charter Schools celebrated a new field at the school’s campus in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston with an all student-assembly, representatives from the New England Patriots, staff from Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Boston, and community and project partners.

Proposals are due by May 31, 2022. The NFL Foundation Grassroots Program is a partnership of the National Football League Foundation, which provides funding for the Program, and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), which provides technical assistance and manages the Program.
