The Advancement Fund, to be launched by Pacific Charter School Development and LISC, is aimed at investing in facilities for early and single-site operators who are Black-led or educating a majority of Black students. The Fund will provide low-cost, project-enabling debt capital to leaders looking to grow their schools.
Starting with a place-based pilot Fund and accompanying market research, we believe our project- and place-based approach can be replicated in target markets across the country. We seek to form a coalition: marrying philanthropic capital, private sector capital, and facility development and charter school expertise in order to face, head on, systemic racism and provide opportunities for economic benefits to flow to Black businesses and professionals.
