22 Atlantic Street SE
About the project
The 22 Atlantic Street Association, Inc. was incorporated in September 2006 in order to pursue a property acquisition under Washington D.C.'s Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). By taking control of their building through TOPA, the tenant's association aims to preserve the longtime affordability of the property and improve living conditions.
The 22 Atlantic Street Association is located in Washington D.C.'s Ward 8.
LISC provided The 22 Atlantic Street Association with $968,889 in acquisition financing to purchase the apartment building in which they live, located in the far Southeast section of D.C.'s Ward 8. The financing provided by LISC will also allow the 22 Atlantic Street Tenants Association to retain control and management of the building, renovate it, and maintain it as affordable homeownership for years to come.
