About the project

Since 1978, the Neighborhood Developers, Inc. (TND) has taken a three-pronged approach to community development, helping community members to secure a stable home, achieve economic mobility, and determine their own future. Through its resident-led framework, TND centers voices in the community to inform their advocacy.

TND is headquartered in Massachusetts, with a focus on the communities of Chelsea, Revere, and Everett.

LISC is providing $100,000 in financing to fund the new construction of 62 units in a 5-story building at 25 Sixth Street in Chelsea, MA. The project will consist of two primary components: 56 rental units and 6 homeownership units. The new construction will redevelop a dilapidated vacant building to meet a growing need for affordable housing production in Chelsea.
