Caseras - CRE Acquisition

About the project

Maria Conception “Conny” Gonzalez and German Guerrero began Caseras Sabor Real in 2019. They currently operate two food trucks serving quick serve Mexican cuisine in the Chicago area. They regularly operate in downtown Chicago (primarily Millenium Park and Daley Plaza), city and suburban parks and festivals and private events. In 2023, they won the People’s Choice Award at the Chicago Food Truck Fest.

Caseras Sabor Real operates in the Chicago area.

LISC provided a $234,164 mini-perm loan to support the acquisition and minor repairs of a permanent restaurant space. The property has a commercial kitchen, space for outdoor seating and ample parking for customers and their food trucks. The acquisition will also provide Caseras Sabor Real cost savings, as they will no longer have to rent a commerical kitchen or parking for their trucks. This loan was partially funded with LISC's gift from Mackenzie Scott.
