Evergreen Charter School
About the project
Evergreen Charter School was founded in 2010 in response to strong and growing interest from local families over several years. The school focuses on a strong academic program coupled with a curriculum that emphasizes the environment, and knowledge of a second language, Spanish. The school’s philosophy is to prepare children to live in a global community, one that respects and values the dignity of all and prepares children for success in school and life.
Evergreen Charter School is located in Hempstead, NY.
LISC provided a $4.31 million loan to Evergreen Charter School. This loan supported acquisition and predevelopment costs in anticipation of a construction project to build a new charter school facility by 2024-25 for 750 students in grades 5-12. Their new building will allow Evergreen Charter School to continue to expand their student population and will provide the school's middle and high school programs their own, dedicated space.
