Folsom and Dore Apartments
About the project
Founded in 1981, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) has been helping communities thrive by promoting homes, health, and voice. With these three categories in mind, TNDC creates and maintains service-enriched affordable housing, supports community health through after-school support, and advocates for policy change.
Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is headquartered in San Francisco, CA, and serves numerous neighborhoods across the area.
LISC provided $3.27 million in mini-permanent financing in 2019 and $3.06 million in permanent financing to support TNDC's Folsom and Dore Apartments project, a multi-family apartment building located in the Soma neighborhood of San Francisco. Originally completed in 2005 using LIHTC, the project serves 98 families and individuals with low incomes, including those who have experienced homelessness and currently live with health challenges. Additional highlights of the project include on-site supportive services, close access to public transit, and LEED Silver certified architecture. LISC's loans allowed the property to maintain affordability at the end of the LIHTC compliance period.
