FY23 Enhancing School Capacity to Address Youth Violence (ESCAYV) Cohort Orientation
This webinar is part of a series on the Enhancing School Capacity to Address Youth Violence program from LISC Safety & Justice and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Through this program, LISC is helping schools and community partners create coordinated safety strategies that address the social determinants of safety for students, families, and communities. DOJ OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to youth delinquency and victimization.
Overview
The Enhancing School Capacity to Address Youth Violence (ESCAYV) orientation includes a welcome to the 22 sites making up our FY23 cohort. The Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) introduced their support team, highlighting program goals and reporting requirements. The LISC Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team introduced key staff supporting the program, highlighting our TTA model and what sites should expect from TTA support. Lastly, the FY23 cohort sites introduced their teams and program goals.
