Gateway Apartments
About the project
Partners for Community Development (Partners), founded in 1981, is a nonprofit that focuses on social services programs and providing the best service to the community in residential energy conservation, housing rehabilitation and home-buying assistance.
Partners is based in Sheboygan, WI and serves the Eastern Wisconsin counties of Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Calumet, Sheboygan, Ozaukee and Northern Milwaukee.
LISC provided $250,000 of predevelopment financing to support the development of Gateway Apartments, a 44-unit, new construction building in the new northwest side of Sheboygan. 100% of units will be affordable to residents making no more than 60% AMI. Sixteen units will be designated targeted supportive housing for the developmentally disabled. This loan was financed through LISC's partnership with Advocate Aurora Health. Advocate Aurora Health has provided capital for financing of real estate projects in the Milwaukee and Chicago markets that address the Social Determinants of Health in areas that have experienced significant disinvestment.
