Gosnold Apartments II
About the project
Virginia Supportive Housing (VSH) was founded in 1988 with the mission to end homelessness by providing permanent housing and supportive services to the most vulnerable individuals in our society.
VSH works in the Richmond MSA as well as the Hampton Roads region and Charlottesville.
LISC provided $500,000 of predevelopment financing to support the renovation and expansion of Gosnold Apartments, originally opened in 2006. Gosnold Apartments was Virginia's first regional permanent supportive housing community with 60 studio apartments reserved for residents earning no more than 50% of AMI. The new phase will add 40 additional units and fully renovate the existing units. The expansion will also increase the number of fully accessible units from nine to 15 and add two units for individuals with sensory impairments.
