About the project
Incorporated in 1998, Turnstone Development Corporation (TDC) aims to create and preserve safe, high-quality affordable housing for families, seniors, and people with disabilities. Driven by the desire to use all existing resources in order to support those who need it most, TDC has a successful track record of 1,800 affordable housing units created in two states.

LISC provided a $500,000 predevelopment loan to support the Hillside Seniors project. The project will create 42 senior units in suburban Cook County available for tenants up to 60% AMI. A total of 9 units will be made available to 30% AMI tenants with disabilities or who are homeless through the Illinois Statewide Referral Network, and project-based vouchers will subsidize 18 units for 50% AMI tenants.
