IDEA Baton Rouge - Howell Place Lots
About the project
IDEA Public Schools (IDEA) is a Texas-based nonprofit charter school network formed in June 2000. IDEA is focused on proving that through an evidence-based, individualized learning program and scalable school model, a high-quality CMO can broaden its impact across rural and urban communities while continually improving student achievement.
IDEA Public Schools Louisiana is located in Baton Rouge, LA. At the time of closing 71% of students qualified for free and reduced-price lunch.
LISC purchased a $2.00 million participation interest in BlueHub Capital’s $4.80 million loan to IDEA Public Schools Louisiana. IDEA Public Schools Louisiana will use the financing to support the acquisition and development of a 75,000 square foot facility. The new school building will serve 728 students in grades K-8. At the time of closing, this was IDEA Louisiana’s third school, University Prep, in Baton Rouge.
