Workforce Housing Development Corporation (WHDC) was founded in 2019 to assist in the construction, operation and preservation of workforce housing designed primarily to serve low and moderate-income households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income (AMI).
WHDC is headquartered in Matthews, NC and has operations in multiple states including Kansas and South Carolina.
LISC provided a $1.27 million predeveloment loan to support the development of Johnston Farms, a new construction, multifamily affordable rental community in Rock Hill, SC. The completed project will include 120 units affordable to families making no more than 80% of AMI, with the majority of units reserved for families making under 60% of AMI.
