Penny Lane
About the project
Founded in 1989 as the Bristol Foundation, East Bay Community Development Corporation (EBCDC) was established to provide comprehensive community revitalization services, explicitly including the development of quality affordable housing, within the Town of Bristol. The organization received 501(c)3 designation in 1994 and, given that its mission and geographic mandate had expanded to include adjacent municipalities, the Bristol Foundation officially changed its name to EBCDC in 1996.
EBCDC's primary area of focus is Bristol County, Rhode Island, which consists of the towns of Barrington, Bristol and Warren.
LISC provided EBCDC a $250,000 predevelopment loan to support the development of Penny Lane, a new 40-unit affordable housing development in Warren, RI. The project will be 100% affordable to households making no more than 60% AMI, with at least three units of permanent supportive housing set aside for households at 30% AMI or below. Penny Lane will achieve Energy Start standards and also incorporate elements of Healthy Housing design across the entire project.
