Tools to Guide Sustainability Planning

This webinar is part of a series on the Comprehensive School-Based Violence and Victimization Program from LISC Safety & Justice and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). DOJ OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to youth delinquency and victimization.

Overview

Over the course of the CYVP program, OJJDP grantees have created programs, structures and staff positions to improve the ability of schools, and its community partners, to comprehensively address youth violence and victimization. For staff and programming efforts the site wishes to sustain post-grant period, planning and action efforts should begin well before the grant closes. This includes identifying critical local/state and federal policy and funding decision-makers and effectively using data to demonstrate staff/program impacts. Sites should also be familiar with various funding opportunities that can help guide sustainability planning.
