Urban Village
About the project
The H Street Community Development Corporation (HSCDC) was established in 1984 by residents, business owners, financial institutions, and government to restore the H Street Corridor after a period of civil unrest and disinvestment in the area that followed the Martin Luther King, Jr. assassination. Since then, HSCDC has been a leader in the community by spearheading the revitalization of the H Street NE corridor and adjacent neighborhoods.
HSCDC is located in Washington, DC.
LISC provided $575,000 in financing through our MacKenzie Scott partnership to fund the development of the Urban Village affordable housing community in Columbia Heights Neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The property will be developed into a 294-unit apartment building for tenants at or below 60% AMI.
