Project 10X will support community organizations, businesses and developers working in rural and urban America to scale proven solutions and seed new ideas for closing racial health, wealth and opportunity gaps. These investments will target four fundamental approaches to building equity:

• Generating enduring wealth and equity by investing in homeownership and business ownership opportunities for people of color and in financial institutions led by people of color.  
• Strengthening opportunities for economic mobility by building credit and savings and supporting digital access and quality education that leads to jobs with good wages and benefits.  
• Improving community health and resilience by investing in healthy food and healthcare access, child care, cultural assets, fitness and mental wellness, and climate justice.  
• Reimagining community safety in a way that empowers communities and keeps them safe while addressing systemic racism in the criminal legal system that disproportionately impacts men of color.  

This work demands intensive investment—10X investment.

Our goals are ambitious, because to achieve real impact, they have to be: we aim to raise at least $1 billion - $100 million in grant capital, and $900 million in equity and low-cost loans.

We are looking to partner with investors to support Project 10X through grants, low-cost debt and equity. To be of the greatest benefit to the communities we work with, we are looking for capital that is:

• flexible - so as to fuel new financing products and to reach beyond current credit constraints,
• nimble - to adapt to a wide range of current and evolving needs,
• and creative - in order to fund and leverage community-based solutions that can be successfully piloted, replicated and scaled.

LISC is also setting aside up to $10 million in proceeds from our LISC Impact Notes to support Project 10X. The Notes will be offered through InspereX as lead agent. The Notes will be offered at fixed interest rates with maturities that range from one to ten years in denominations of $1,000. The Notes provide another way to support LISC and Project 10X in the form of a market rate, fixed income investment.
