LISC Names Michael T. Pugh as CEO
With 30 years of experience in banking, most recently as president and CEO of Carver Bancorp, Pugh will lead LISC’s national network of programs and offices, as well as comprehensive investment strategies that address gaps in health, wealth and opportunity across the country. “He is passionate about extending opportunities to people who have not had the chance to fully participate in the American economy,” said Robert E. Rubin, LISC’s chairman. “We look forward to him bringing his considerable skills to LISC to help us make lasting, positive impact.”
Memphis Home Empowerment Loan Program (901HELP)
LISC Memphis and the City of Memphis Division of Housing & Community Development officially launched the Memphis Home Empowerment Loan Program (901HELP). This program will allow Memphis homeowners with low to moderate incomes to apply for low-interest, home repair loans up to $25,000.
