About the project

Founded in 1973, Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council (RBSCC) promotes, provides, and maintains services to the growing elderly population in the joint communities of Ridgewood, Queens, and Bushwick, Brooklyn. RBSCC offers a wide variety of services including senior centers, youth education, job training, home care, and housing and economic development programs.

Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council is headquartered in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

LISC provided $77,974 in acquisition financing to support RBSCC's development of the Bethany Methodist Home Apartments project, which will consist of 73 studio units for seniors and one additional unit for a local supervisor. The project will be constructed on a site located in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, and will be nestled amongst RBSCC's other supportive services offerings.
