About the project

Metro North Community Development Corporation (MNCDC) was founded in 2001 in Jacksonville, FL by a board of local business owners, neighborhood residents and other strategic partners to revitalize the Greater Brentwood neighborhood of North Jacksonville. Today Metro North is a leader in teh development of affordable housing, working in collaboration with the City and other CDCs in building stronger neighborhoods throughout Jacksonville's urban core.

MNCDC is based in Jacksonville, FL and specifically focuses on the Brentwood and Springfield communities of North Jacksonville and Historic East Jacksonville.

LISC provided a $475,000 loan to MNCDC to support the construction of four single-family homes in the Brentwood community. Homes will be sold to buyers at a pricing level that equates to less than 80% of AMI. Buyers are enrolled in the Urban League of Jacksonville's home buyer education program and will have access to down payment assistance through the City of Jacksonville.
